The guests for our meeting were our neighborhood realtors, Frank Capasso of Beryl Z realty, Beth Accocella
of Coldwell Banker, Bob Kraft of Marciano's Realty, and Tom Ralph of Tom Ralph Realty. Frank gave us an informative overview
of what is involved in becoming a realtor and what laws and codes govern their conduct. Questions were then adressed by all
the guest speakers explaining what the realtor can or cannot do when selling a house. It was interesting that the
city does not get involved in the sale even if illigal apartments are discovered.
Chris Arena, chairman of our Park Commitee, working with the New Rochelle Parks and Recreation Dept,
met with Bill Zimmerman head of the Parks Dept.. Together with the rest of our Park commitee they surveyed Stephenson Park.
Several suggestions for improving the park were disscussed, including what to do with the swings, the upper paved skate area
and why grass would not grow on the field. (It was mentioned that we could get grass to grow if top soil was added). Nothing
definate has been decided on yet but Chris will take our suggestions to the Parks Dept. to be considered. He will report
back next month.
It was also mentioned that trees or rocks could be placed along the Lyon Pl. side ofthe park to deter the
parking on the grass occuring as school drop-off and pick-up occurs. The bottom line Chris mentioned is that we have to take
back the park by using it.
PAC officer Glen Spinner could not attend this meeting but will attend the meeting in March.
