Topics of Discussion
- Establish a Board. Anne Guida
asked for volunteers for the association Board. The only volunteers were Anne Guida for President, Gary Drace for Vice President,
Cathy OConnell as Secretary and Barbara Pellicano as Treasurer.
- Confirm the establishment
of Dues. The amount has not been established.
- Committees. All matters of business should start in committee. The
three committees to begin with will be: Housing, Traffic, City and Zoning. Anne asked all members to sign up for committees.
Neighborhood representatives may be another committee.
- Anne suggested that audience speakers be limited to 3 minutes
- Anne discussed her experience contacting City Hall as an individual to complain
about neighborhood problems and her lack of voice. It was agreed that a unified
voice of the East End Association may attract more attention from the City, but the name of the association must not be abused
or used by individuals.
- Speaker for next meeting. Anne will contact our beat officer Detective
Carpano to address one of our next meetings.
- Meeting dates. The last Tuesday of the month will be our regular meeting
date. Tuesday, November 25 will be the next meeting.
- Miscellaneous items of discussion were: What are the responsibilities
of a committee? General frustration of calling City Hall regarding speeding, Parking and noise. The rules regarding the number
of occupants in a single or multi family home.
